If I purchased an Item 2006, returned it and never received a refund, is it too late to get my money back?

I purchased a DJ table in 2006, I was sent the wrong item so I returned it. I left messages for the manager with everyone I had talked with. In 2007 I finally spoke with the mgr. who says he would have to look into it. I faxed him all the paper work he needed to verify his company received the item. I never heard from him again. So I started calling again leaving messages every two weeks, finally in 9/12/2008 he answered the phone, he said that his company was building the DJ table that I had originally purchased and that he would call me when it was finished. So now it is 2011 is it too late to request a refund or the product?
