How do I deal with a bullying situation?

Ok so like 2 weeks ago i was walking to P.E. and it was first period. I was really tired and i was just looking somewhere and i accidentally looked at this girl dead in the eye for a few seconds i snapped out of it and as i walked past her and she was all "b*tch" (she happen to be the biggest girl in the school witch didn't help) i was like umm ok to myself and continued to walk the locker room. I don't know what shes telling everyone but half of the P.E. cl now hates me. Last week i was nearly hit by a used pad, when we play hocky they always hit the puck towards my shins, they throw water bottles at me and laugh. I try to brush it off but i can't take it!!! I'm not telling any counselor or adult that would make things worse, i'm going to high school with them and they would my my life a living hell plus my mom would freak and everyone would make fun of me calling me a snitch. I've watched it happen to other people. How do i confront them or deal with this i have a month of school left till summer and i'm in the 8th grade.
