Will my knee be ok? Was it normal?

I've got bad knee's because I have pigeon feet (Feet turn inward when I walk) and it's caused the cartiledge around my knee cap to wear away slightly which leaves it easy to dislocate, especially on my left cap. And I've partially dislocated my left knee because of this. I was on my hands and knee's trying to catch my kitten and I felt an awful twinge in my right knee, the same sort of pain I had when my left knee dislocated. It was fine after but it got me worried that I'm going to get problems with my right knee too. Do you think it's a sign that I'm going to get problems with it?
