How can I do better in French?

Okay so I've recently been doing bad in french I have a D in right now and I have to bring it up.The problem is my brain refuses to learn all the accents and how to spell the words also I can't remember what some of the words mean and I don't know how to conjugate the words. So does anyone have an effective method for learning french?
