Was kirk cameron being serious about the whole "crocaduck" thing?

He does not believe there is an animal called the "crocoduck". He was trying to point out the fallacy of evolution with the fact there are no "transitional forms", no animals in mid transition. Darwin even said that in order to prove evolution you would need transitional forms and they are still missing to this day.
