Shaving help?

ok, so im finnnnally gonna shave my legs. i've got gillette venus embrace and skintimate melon burst shaving gel. i no to go in the direction of my leg hair etc. im a little stumped on my underarms, tho. i dont no wat 2 use. water, gel, body soap, wat? idk. i no how 2 shave, cos ive been reading other q's. best help gets best answer. ty!
